Meet the Physician (and her husband)
Dr. Dana Fisher is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts, with an English major and Philosophy minor. She graduated from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and then completed a three year residency at the VA Hospital in Decatur, Georgia. The residency included intensive clinical and surgical training under many different attending doctors and surgeons.
Until 2007 Dr. Fisher practiced podiatry in South Carolina. She was in her own private practice with over 3000 patients. In 2007 Dr. Fisher and her husband Stan made the decision to sell the practice and move back home to Georgia, and Fisher Foot & Ankle was born.
Dr. Fisher has lived in many places including New York, New Jersey, South Carolina, Kansas, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Florida. She considers Georgia to be her home and plans to remain in Georgia until retirement. She is happily married to her husband Stan with two young boys, Danny and Zach.
Dr. Fisher enjoys playing with the boys, camping, hiking, biking, reading, gardening, jigsaw puzzles, and taking walks.
Dr. Fisher's husband, Stan, is an integral part of the practice and has been from day one. Stan was born in California but spent almost his entire life in Georgia in the Marietta area. His entire family lives in northwest Georgia. Stan enjoys football, football, and did we mention football? He also likes biking and puzzling with Dana, and pretty much all sports.
